Conrad Schmitt Studios
Renewing the sanctuary of a historic church can present a greater challenge than outfitting a new space. It requires sensitivity to the original style and period of the interior architecture as well as respect for current liturgical norms. Conrad Schmitt Studios was asked to renew the spiritual environment of this historic church with an embellished decorative scheme, as well as a new altar, ambo and baptismal font. The most dramatic modification was the addition of a decorative molded plaster ceiling, which draws the eye upward and toward the altar. A warm color palette and gilded accents were chosen to create a welcoming environment for the church. The font, altar and ambo are inspired by the existing architectural style, and they incorporate marbleizing, gilding and stained oak. The original high altar, formerly white, has been gilded, burnished and glazed to serve as a beautiful backdrop for the liturgy.

Horizon and Palladium Chairs from Seating Concepts
The Horizon Chair from Seating Concepts is a new and improved version of the versatile, durable and cost-effective BW-220 Contour. Seating Concepts has taken the traditional style and form of the BW-220 and transformed it into a more comfortable, aesthetic and ergonomically functional chair. The product has a polished and enhanced look with a 34” high polypropylene plastic injection molded back. The length of the plastic outer back is increased to allow for added seat protection, which fully covers the seat pan when in the non-used position. Additionally, this plastic outer back increases the strength and durability of the chair while providing extra comfort and lumbar and vertebrae support to the lower back. Multiple widths are available, which eliminates the gap between chairs. The Palladium Chair has the same specifications and features as the BY-350 Teardrop, but it has the lengthier polypropylene plastic mold injected back similar to the Horizon Chair. It is 36” high and can be modified up to 44” high.

CarpetForChrist, LLC, was formed in order to allow churches and other non-profit organizations to save money on the purchase of carpet by allowing them to buy on a National Contract. They recognized that churches were buying carpet one location at a time and usually paying retail prices. They decided to group all non-profit organizations together under one National Contract so that each entity had the purchasing power of hundreds of thousands of locations. They formed alliances with two of the largest carpet companies in the world. These two companies represent seven brands of well-known commercial carpet manufacturers. They are able to provide "material only," for the client who has their own installers, or they can provide factory-certified installers throughout the country.
