Foundation First
Foundation First has developed tools and services to help churches determine the affordability of their new or expanded building plans. Architects, fundraisers, contractors and lending institutions seldom offer assistance to churches regarding the affordability of the building or an assessment of the church’s financial plan. Foundation First offers an economical spreadsheet whose inputs and results will initially be prepared by Foundation First utilizing your church’s specific information. Your church’s historical attendance, giving and expenses will be utilized to project your expected future costs and giving. This is combined with the construction costs, future staffing, capital campaign giving and a total of 35 variables to provide a customized 10-year projection of your church’s future cash flow. This spreadsheet becomes the church’s property to be used repeatedly for “what if” scenarios, to update the projections initially prepared by Foundation First to aid in obtaining financing, and for cash flow management.
